ISH has a legal responsibility to provide a safe and healthy environment for students, staff and visitors. ISH will not condone the possession or supply of any form of drugs and is opposed to the excessive consumption of alcohol. Drinking alcohol in the lobby or the immediate areas outside of our buildings is not permitted.

The use and supply of illegal drugs (cocaine, heroin, MDMA (Ecstasy), cannabis, barbiturates, amphetamine and methamphetamine) is a criminal offence in the United Kingdom. For information on UK drug laws, please see https://www.drugwise.org.uk/what-are-the-uk-drug-laws/

ISH reserves the right to enter your room to carry out searches and testing for illegal substances. ISH will take appropriate disciplinary action in the case of the use, possession or supply of illegal drugs and in the case of unacceptable behaviour arising from excessive consumption of alcohol. This may range from a verbal reprimand to expulsion from ISH or reporting to the police.
