COVID 19 - Self-isolation
If you develop symptoms, or get a positive result on a Lateral Flow test, stay in your room and alert the Duty Manager by calling 020 7631 8375.
Self-isolation helps stop the virus spreading to other people. When self-isolating it is imperative to adhere to the following guidelines:
X do not go to work, places of education or public places
X do not go on public transport or use taxis
X do not go out of your room to get food or medicine – order online or ask someone to bring it to you
X do not have any visitors in your room
X do not go out to exercise – if you need some fresh air, please call the Duty Manager who will escort you to the car park area of ISH.
From 24th February 2022, it is no longer a legal requirement to self-isolate, but you are advised to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for at least 5 full days and until you have 2 consecutive negative lateral flow test results taken 24 hours apart.
Reporting a positive test result and self-isolating are conditions of residency at ISH, part of the House Rules which are there to protect our community. We reserve the right to take disciplinary action against any residents who fail to comply with these expectations.
If you leave isolation after 5 full days you are strongly advised to limit close contact with other people in crowded or poorly ventilated spaces and minimise contact with anyone who is at higher risk of severe illness for the next few days.
